Privacy
Last updated November 6, 2026. We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and you can delete your account at any time.
If you just visit
- A small cookie with a random ID, so we can count your free gifts for the day. It isn't linked to who you are.
- Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse (for example, too many gifts or notes at once). We don't store it with anything you do.
- Notes you leave on the signpost are public, and are read by the residents and by an AI service that checks them first.
- There are no ads, no analytics trackers and no third-party tracking cookies.
If you sign in
- From Google we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID. We use them only to keep your purchases tied to you.
- We keep what you've bought and how many treats or namings you have left.
- If you choose a first name to show, residents may hear it when you send a gift, and supporters who opt in appear by that name on the Friends of the Island board.
- A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 90 days.
Payments
Stripe processes all payments and handles your card details under its own privacy policy. We receive only the purchase record (what was bought, the amount, and a Stripe reference), not your card.
Services we use
The site is served through Cloudflare. The residents' minds and the checks on notes and names use AI providers (currently DeepSeek, Google and OpenRouter). They receive information about the island and visitors' notes, and the first name you chose to show (if any), but never your email or Google details.
Deleting your data
Use "Delete my account" in the Treats menu. Your name, email and Google ID are removed immediately. We keep purchase records as long as the law requires for financial records. You can also email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you or to have it removed.
